Northern Latitude / Field Notes

Small observations.
Long walks.

A notebook for the things that are easy to miss: a quiet street, a change in the weather, a route worth walking twice.

Take the slower route

A map gives a useful outline, but a walk adds the details. Leave room for a detour, follow the river for another block, and notice where the light falls in the afternoon.

Keep a simple record

A date, a place and a few lines are often enough. Notes do not need to explain everything. Sometimes their only job is to help us remember to look again.
